About this journey

Walk the layout of a Bali Aga village with a local guide, from its stepped main street to its communal pavilions.

This tour helps you understand how Tenganan Pegringsingan organises communal life. A local guide explains the houses lined along both sides of the village street, the role of the shared pavilions, and the kulkul struck every morning. In the afternoon you can watch artisans weaving and crafting in their homes, and try the traditional swing that is part of village cultural life. If your visit coincides with Usaba Sambah (usually June to July), your guide will explain the etiquette for watching it, but we do not promise the ceremony's dates.

Hosted by the local community in Tenganan Pegringsingan
