About this journey
Help winnow rice, cook Sasak dishes with residents, then eat together in a berugaq.
Life in Sade is still close to the rice fields. This morning you will see how rice is winnowed and stored in the barn, then cook simple Sasak dishes with residents, such as vegetables in Lombok-style spices.
We end the day eating together in a berugaq, the open pavilion where residents gather, while hearing about everyday life in the hamlet.
